September 18, Tuesday, Day 3

We head to Tullamore Dew Distillery where you travel through one man's vision leading to the global brands of Tullamore Dew Whiskey and Irish Mist Liqueur. The centre is situated in the distillery's original 19th century bonded warehouses.

Next up is Cobh Heritage Centre in Cork where the story of Cobh's unique origins, its history and legacy are dramatically recalled in The Queenstown Story. Explore the conditions on board the early emigrant ships and learn about an "Irish Wake" and its connection to the ill-fated Titanic and Lusitania ships.

Then we visit Middleton Whiskey for a tour and tasting to journey through the history of Irish whiskey known as the "Water of Life." The distillery started life as a woolen manufacturing business in 1796. Dinner at our hotel.

Roundstone

September 23, Sunday, Day 8

We head to Thoor Ballylee, summer home to Yeats, which has become his monument and symbol. It satisfied his desire for a rooted place in a known countryside where he lived with his life-long friend Lady Gregory. Living in a tower perhaps complemented his alignment with a tradition of cultivated aristocracy which he envied and with a leisured peace which he enjoyed.

Next we head to Galway for a couple of hours exploration on your own: Lunch perhaps?

Then we head to Roundstone, a beautiful fishing village, and Clifden, which is the largest town in Connemara. Dinner is at our hotel.

Or, you may tour Kylemore Abbey and its beautiful gardens.

Later, you can join others in the bar area before dinner for a little get-together and possibly some picture taking. Dinner is at our hotel.

Ennis

September 25, Tuesday, Day 10

We head to Connemara Marble. For three generations, the Walsh families have worked the beautiful, green marble that is unique to Connemara in the West of Ireland. Their quarry at Lissoughter in the Connemara Mountains first opened in the 19th century. In 1903, King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra visited it during the Royal Tour of Connemara. Today, the marble of Connemara can be found in many of the world's great monuments.

Next, we make our way to Rathbaun Farm where you will journey through Irish farming practices and have a wonderful, homemade lunch. We may even talk The Dady Brothers into a song or two!

Afterwards, we head to our hotel in Ennis with time for you to repack and to get ready to depart in the morning. Dinner it at our hotel.
